Sanitation Crew$17.00/hr Shift Continental Nights 6:30pm- 6:30am (2 days, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off…continued)JOB SUMMARYThe Sanitation employee is responsible for completing all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner at various locations throughout the production department.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES•Take apart various areas of the production line•Clean, sanitize and wash down all parts of the production line using air, high pressure water, foamers and various chemicals•Clean floors, remove debris and garbage throughout the plant areas•Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working•Follows all applicable Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP’s)•Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures•Attend all applicable training sessions (i.e. WHMIS, HACCP)•Follow the set guidelines and SOP for personal hygiene and conduct•Other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor/Lead HandEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE•High school diploma an asset•Previous experience in production like facility, preferably in a food industryKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment •Good hand eye co-ordination•Knowledge of food industry is desirableWORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed in a fast paced cold and wet environment. Mental stress is relative to meeting tight deadlines, product accuracy and keeping up with the cleaning of the production line. Heavy lifting, prolonged standing and climbing is involved.
